Questions, answered.

Who is this event for?

GDGOC APU is organising this hackathon for curious builders. Check the official registration form for participation requirements. If you are unsure whether you can join, ask the organisers on Discord before registering.

Can I join without a team?

Teams must have 2–5 members, including the leader. If you are looking for teammates, ask in the Discord community. In the workspace, the leader creates the team and invites each member to join with their own account.

Do I need AI experience?

The schedule includes a problem statement briefing and Gemini training on 3 November. Check the registration form or ask the organisers about any prerequisites before joining.

Is creating a workspace account the same as registering?

No. Register for the event using the Google Form. Then sign in to the team workspace to create or join a team and prepare your project. Use your own account each time you return.

What do I need to submit?

The workspace requires a project title, a selected challenge, a summary of at least 50 characters, an HTTPS repository link, and a PDF pitch deck up to 10 MB. A demo link is optional. Only the team leader can edit and submit the final entry; final submission locks the project and PDF.

How will projects be judged?

Judging criteria will be released soon. Assessment is scheduled for 11–14 November, with the top-five announcement on 15 November. Follow the community channels for the published criteria.

When do registration and submissions close?

Registration closes on 8 November 2026. The published prototype submission deadline is 10 November 2026 at 11:59 PM Malaysia time (MYT). The workspace shows the submission window currently enforced by the organisers.
